Porous Materials are ubiquitous in many engineering applications, particularly those related to energy and environment. The Marseille Winterschool organized through the AMU-MIT-CNRS joint laboratory (http://umi.mit.edu/) with the support of MITEI (http://energy.mit.edu/), brings together scientists and engineers to provide a one-week educational training for graduate students and postdocs in all facets of multiscale porous materials, ranging from advanced microscopy and spectroscopy techniques to nanomechanical testing of stiffness, strength and fracture properties of porous materials. The Marseille Winterschool brings together instructors from MIT, Marseille, Paris, Georgetown universities, and many more. The 2019 edition will develop around the topical issue of Urban Physics from the point of view of Materials Science and Engineering.
Organizers
under the auspices of AM*IDEX, Polytech Marseille/AMU, CNRS and the GdR-I “Multiscale Materials Under the Nanoscope”
