This special session consists of two parts:

Part 1

The program information on “Engineering for Civil Infrastructure (ECI)”, “Mechanics and Materials and Structures (MoMS), and cross agency new solicitations.

Part 2 

Proposal writing “Frame a proposal”.  (depending on the time)

The ECI program which started on December 30th, 2017 represented a new and integrated vision for research to underpin transformative innovations for the built environment. The MoMS program supports fundamental research in mechanics as related to the behavior of deformable solid materials and structures under internal and external actions. The presentations will highlight the focuses, questions to be addressed, and frequently asked questions related to both programs. There will be Q/A time for audience at the end of the presentations.

The proposal writing will provide recommendation on how to frame a compatible proposal as well as the specific requirement in preparing a CAREER proposal.
